Tip emails, and the problem with getting all of them
Roommatch's own mechanism is the tipbericht: tick the box in your search profile and it emails you when a room matching your preferences is advertised. Roommatch is upfront that you receive tips for every room that matches, not a curated subset, so keeping track of which ones actually suit you is left to you.
That is fine when supply is thin and unmanageable in September, when a Dutch student city puts hundreds of rooms online in a fortnight. The usual result is that the tip emails get filtered into a folder and stop being read, which defeats the purpose of having them.
Notifio approaches it from the other end. You build the search on Roommatch until the results page shows only what you would actually apply for, and Notifio watches that page. Narrow the listing page before you copy it
Use the on-page filters for city, price and room type. Roommatch's offer pages are broad by default, and a monitor on an unfiltered page will email you about everything.

Copy the filtered URL
Once the results look right, take the URL from the address bar. If the filters do not change the URL, monitor the narrowest offer page you can reach and use a longer interval.
